R&D Concept
Reality Check for the Internet
We live in a world full of AI-generated content. It affects how we perceive reality, and more importantly, how our children perceive what's real. We're proposing a solution to help distinguish what's real from what's AI-generated.
Realify won Best Pitch at IdéLab 2026 at Mälardalens Universitet, competing against student and early-stage startup teams. The idea was recognised as the most compelling and impactful concept of the event.
Deep fakes are so realistic that the line between real and fake is disappearing. We can spot a fake instantly, but today, even adults get fooled.
And if adults get fooled, imagine our children. Studies show that children are already watching videos by age two. A child sees a monkey talking, a cat cooking, or a person doing the impossible. For them, it's all real because they can't distinguish between real and AI-generated content.
There's also a deeply moral problem. AI-generated videos of celebrities who are no longer with us, saying things they never said and doing things they never did. A single deepfake can destroy reputations and careers.
It tells you what's real. For us, a simple label: AI or real, with a confidence score. For our children, an extra layer of protection.
A simple label, AI or real, with a confidence score. Transparency so you know what you're watching.
Flagged AI content gets filtered out before they ever see it. Kids shouldn't have to question if what they're watching is even real.
An authenticity stamp, an electronic signature that only the real person can add. When you see a celebrity, you can check instantly whether they verified it.
Transparency for adults. Safety for kids. Protection for celebrities and public figures. We're proposing a solution so you can ask: is this real?
